Stained Glass Lotus Flower With Quarter

Three​ ​different​ ​colors​ ​of​ ​iridescent​ ​stained​ ​glass​ ​make​ ​this​ ​lotus​ ​flower​ ​and​ ​moon​ ​really​ ​sparkle​ ​and​ ​change​ ​colors​ ​with​ ​varying​ ​degrees​ ​of​ ​light.​ ​I​ ​used​ ​a​ ​shimmery​ ​white​ ​glass​ ​for​ ​the​ ​moon,​ ​a​ ​deep​ ​red​ ​for​ ​the​ ​flower​ ​and​ ​a​ ​gorgeous​ ​green​ ​for​ ​the​ ​leaves​ ​The​ ​differences​ ​are​ ​striking​ ​and​ ​the​ ​shine​ ​is​ ​more​ ​noticeable​ ​with​ ​indirect​ ​lighting​ ​versus​ ​direct.​ ​​ ​It​ ​can​ ​be​ ​hung​ ​in​ ​a​ ​window,​ ​on​ ​a​ ​wall,​ ​or​ ​placed​ ​in​ ​a​ ​display​ ​stand.​ ​​ ​It​ ​will​ ​come​ ​with​ ​a​ ​chain​ ​for​ ​hanging.​ ​This​ ​piece​ ​measures​ ​about​ ​7​ ​inches​ ​by​ ​3.5​ ​inches​ ​and​ ​was​ ​handmade​ ​by​ ​me​ ​using​ ​the​ ​Tiffany​ ​method​ ​of​ ​copper​ ​foil​ ​and​ ​solder.
Stained​ ​glass​ ​naturally​ ​has​ ​many​ ​combinations​ ​of​ ​striations,​ ​lines,​ ​pits​ ​and​ ​textures.​ ​​ ​It​ ​is​ ​what​ ​creates​ ​the​ ​different​ ​light​ ​effects.​ ​
